|  Paul Moon served in the U.S. Navy then, from 1950-52, attended the Academié de la Grande Chaumiere, and the Academié Julian in Paris. Returned to the United States, settling in the San Francisco Bay area where capturing the mood of the Redwoods became his trademark.
