Biography from Saratoga Fine Art:
Philip H. Myers continues the tradition of understanding Plein Air Painting.  Mr. Myers studied at the Art Students League in New York City from 1945 to 1952 under Reginald Marsh, Sidney Dickenson and Robert Brachman.  He did portraiture in association with Cortland Butterfield in New York and Pennsylvania from 1959 to 1970.  In his early years, he devoted most of his work to portrait painting.  His commissions included Vice President Hubert Humphrey, Sonny Jergensen of the Washington Redskins and Bob Forster, Light Heavyweight Champion.

In later years his palette became lighter and more vibrant.

Mr. Myers' paintings are in the collections of the U.S. Capitol, Washington, D.C., Mississippi State University, National Institute of Health, Bethesda, MD., Marquis DeMilfontes, Portugal, Galleria de Bari, Italy and many private collections.

Mr. Myers was nominated and is included in the 23rd Edition Of Who's Who in American Art.  He is a charter member of the Portrait Society of American.
