| Raul Jose Mina-Mora was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador on March 13, 1914, the son of a wealthy coffee plantation owner. Minamora came to San Francisco in 1924 and studied at the California School of Fine Arts (San Francisco). He continued at the Art Students League in NYC and in Austria under Hart. He then returned to San Francisco where he was active as a commercial artist until 1948. He then settled on Long Island, NY. His illustrations appeared in Times, Fortune, Collier and other nation (showing 500 of 1034 characters). |
