| Raymond John Minnie was born in Michigan on Oct. 14, 1886. Minnie settled in Eureka, CA in 1903. While working as a house painter, he painted fine art as a hobby. Later in life he was regional salesman for Niagara Chairs. He died in Eureka on April 7, 1972.
