| | Rene Medus was born in New Orleans, LA on Dec. 30, 1873. Medus settled in Alameda, CA in 1917. When not working as a draftsman for the Pacific Telephone Company, he painted landscapes and colorful garden scenes. He died in Alameda on Jan. 21, 1949. | Source:
