Born in Norwood, MA, Richard MacCormack later moved to Cape Cod, MA. He cites influences ranging from the 17th Century Dutch Flemish painters to local 20th Century period artists. When he creates his portraits, figurative works still life's, and seascapes, he strives for a painterly illumination, and not merely to have his painting "look of a time passed." His goal is to articulate and capture the moment. Most often his works depicts his daughters as his (showing 500 of 998 characters). |
