| Ruth Marie was born in Hamar, Norway and started painting as a teenager
using the region's style called rosamarling. After moving to
Southern California and attending Cerritos Community College, she
developed skills as an oil painter, later moving to Bend, Oregon taking
Watercolor classes at Central Oregon Community College.
Finally moving to Washington state, she began taking classes at Clark
Community College under artists Vickie Nelson and Bev Jozwick. |
