A versatile artist, her work ranges from sports scenes to portraits, land-city-and seascapes to imaginary, mystical scenes, ranging in style from realism, to surrealism, impressionism, and abstract.
Ruth Mayer was born in South Dakota; she has traveled the world painting, and her work is collected in many countries.
Her most notable commissions include the portrait of Pope John Paul II, the 100th Anniversary or the Rose Bowl Game by the Pasadena Tournament of Roses 2002, and others. She finished the prophetic "I Love New York", showing the great angel with his arms outstretched behind the Twin Towers, eighteen months before 9/11.
