| Sarah J. McChesney was born in New York in June 1834. Sarah was the wife of Joseph McChesney, a school teacher. She was a resident of Yuba in 1858 and San Francisco by 1870. She died there on May 26, 1926. She was the mother of artist Clara McChesney.
Exhibited: California State Fair, 1858.
