Born in Lexington, Virginia, Sally Mann is a photographer whose career
began with photos of her children and husband that resulted in a series
called "Immediate Family". She then began working with landscape
subjects of the states of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Virginia,
and the resulting series satisfied her desire to "go right into the
heart of the deep dark South." (pbs.org)
One of her methods is to use lenses that have been damaged and a camera
where she needs to (showing 500 of 1244 characters). |
