This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Sharon Frank Mazgaj is known for her still life drawings which always include a bit of whimsy. Mazgaj like to include vintage dolls, figurines and cherubs in her almost photo-realistic works.
The artist begins each piece with cream colored illustration or museum board to which she adds 20 to 30 layers of color.
Mazgaj is a graduate of The University of Akron in Ohio where she majored in graphic design. She began using coored pencils after a workshop with artist Amy Lindenberger.
