Stanislaw John Makielski (1893-1969)
Stanislaw Makielski attended the University of Notre Dame until war was declared on Germany during WWI. Stanley enlisted becoming a commissioned officer serving in France. Upon his return to the United States, Stanislaw studied architecture at the University of Virginia where he eventually became a professor.
His prominence as an architect won him many commissions including several major buildings in and around the campus at th (showing 500 of 1265 characters). |
