In the early 1980's, following two and a half years of study at Wichita State University, Todd Matson began selling his landscape oil paintings in a Wichita gallery and received almost immediate notice. In 1993, following a ten-year stint in New Mexico working in the grocery industry, he began painting exclusively outdoors.
His work depicts a wide variety of subjects: dark hidden forests, flower gardens, farms, Southwestern vistas and still-lifes. All of them are to some degre (showing 500 of 2535 characters). |
