| | Turner Bert Messick was born in Indiana on Jan. 28, 1878. Messick was based in Indianapolis into the early 1930s and shortly thereafter moved to Los Angeles. He died there on March 3, 1952. In his leisure he painted landscapes of the area around his home. | Source:
