Biography from Ritchies:
| Valentino Molina was born in Savannah, Georgia but held close associations with the Lennoxville [Quebec] area until 1936. Showing great artistic promise from an early age, he caused great scandal as an adolescent by painting a very provocative, half -naked portrait of Cleopatra in a church basement.
He found a patron in Helen Lucke of Lennoxville and eventually established his studio in Ayer's Cliff, painting portraits and landscapes of the Eastern Townships[southern Quebec]. |
