| Born in Nevada City, CA on Dec. 11, 1860. Niles graduated from the University of California in 1882. While a resident of San Francisco in the 1890s, he studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute and was active in the local art scene. He died in NYC on Feb. 11, 1923. He was the husband of artist Isabelle Morrison. His rare works include scenes of San Francisco.
