Da Loria Norman: An American Illuminator Rediscovered

Da Loria Norman (1872-1935) received contemporary praise for her painting and book illumination from early twentieth century artists Walter Crane and Sir William Blake Richmond. She received commissions from the New York Public Library and British bookbinder Robert Revière and Son.  One of her works was exhibited at the Louvre in 1914.  The National Museum of American Art has several of her (showing 500 of 24941 characters).
