| | Born in Wisconsin on May 22, 1886. After studying at the AIC, Nittel moved to San Francisco in 1921. He worked there for the Crocker Lithograph Company for several years before moving to Los Angeles where he was art director of Union Lithograph Company. Nittel died in Laguna Beach, CA on Dec. 19, 1971.
