Elias Newman was born 1903. Studied at the National Academy of Design and the Educational Alliance Art School where he later taught. Also attended Academie Chaumiere in Paris.
Exhibited nationally and represented in many private collections and numerous museums, among them Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Addison Gallery of American Art, Brooklyn Museum, Baltimore Museum, Butler Institute, San Francisco Museum, Denver Museum, John Herron Museum, Joslyn Museum of Omaha, Everson Mus (showing 500 of 877 characters). |
