| Born in Rome, Italy on June 6, 1888. Nelli studied in his native city at Institute di Belle Arti and learned the Cellini method of casting from his father, Francisco. For 15 years he maintained a foundry in Petrograd, Russia where he cast works for the Imperial Palace. Due to the revolution he fled Russia in 1919 and, shortly thereafter, immigrated to New York. After arriving in Los Angeles in 1927, he established the California Bronze Foundry and began casting some of the more important bro (showing 500 of 1022 characters). |
