| | Born in Turkey on March 27, 1897. Narkis studied art in Armenia. By the 1930s he was a resident of Oakland and an employee of the Federal Art Project. Following WWII he settled in San Bernardino and worked as a draftsman for the U.S. Government. He died in San Bernardino, CA on Aug. 26, 1967. | Source:
