| Born in Santa Clara, CA of Japanese parents on Jan. 15, 1908. Noda graduated from Piedmont High School (Oakland) in 1929 and then enrolled at the CSFA. By 1931 he had moved to New York where he further studied with Arnold Blanch, Kuniyoshi, and Grosz. While there, he assisted Diego Rivera in the Rockefeller Center murals. He exhibited mostly in the U.S. and made many extended trips to Japan. Returning to California in 1937, he painted a mural in Piedmont High School.
