| With an influence from both the East and the West, Iku K. Nagai merges her diverse knowledge, training and philosophies into her work creating her own visual language. She studied at the Sojusha School of Art in Tokyo, Japan and then at San Jose State University, where she achieved a Masters of Fine Arts. The effect of this fusion of cultures and styles is pronounced in her work by the patterns seen in her playfulness with spatial relationships.
