Irene Hodes Newman (1900 – 1982)
Irene Hodes Newman was born in Cameron, Missouri. She was
educated at St. Joseph, Missouri and Seattle, Washington, and studied
art with John O’Neill in New York. She exhibited at the Corcoran
Gallery of Art in Washington, the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the
Kansas City Art Institute, as well as in various galleries in New York.
