Wildlife sculptor Jason Napier is known for the brilliant and colorful patinas he applies to the wildlife sculptures he models from the animals of his native Pacific Northwest.
Napier never intended to be an artist. He took a job in a foundry to be close to his girlfriend, now wife, Danielle. Within six months he went from sweeping floors to doing patina work for local artists. One day he sculpted a duck from some discarded clay. He created an edition of 21 all of which sold for $395. in (showing 500 of 867 characters). |
