| Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Lena Newcastle was a painter who lived in New York City, although in the 1920s, she lived in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She studied at the Pratt Institute in New York and in 1918, exhibited with the Society of Independent Artists. She was a member of the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors.
