Biography from AskART:
| Leslie Neumann paints encaustic landscapes of the area around her home in Aripeka, Florida. While capturing the landscape artistically the artist is also an active environmentalist. She helped to found a group which seeks to preserve ecologically sensitive land by securing it in public ownership. Her organization has preserved more than 12,000 acres of coastal land.
Neumann's encaustic landscapes can be seen in the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland, and the Gulf Coast Museum of Art in Largo, both in Florida.
