In 2002, Matthew Northridge had his solo debut at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York and presented three sculptures and 21 collages, collectively titled "Continent."
Northridge creates collages with innumerable drawings of gray and white cubes along the bottom edges of large sheets of paper and with aerial photographs of buildings. The drawings are stacked into low mounds and tall towers while the photographs are isolated on sheets of white paper.
