| Born in Houston, Texas, May Noble became an established artist in Phoenix, Arizona where in 1914, she served as chair of the Jury Selection of the Art Exhibition Committee of the Women's Club of Phoenix. These Club sponsored exhibitions became annual parts of the State Fair and were intended to "bring to the front Arizona artists of various accomplishments of brush, pencil, charcoal, camera and decorative work."
