Born circa 1870, Minnie I Davis was the daughter of John Davis of Boston. Her artistic education is currently unknown but she is first found associated with Western Michigan College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1893-94 as Principal of the Art Department.
Her specialty appeared to be watercolors.
