Nevin lives in Illinois and paints Midwestern landscapes, both urban and rural. His recent paintings subjects are animals, especially draft horses. Nevin's acrylic paintings of downtown Chicago streets and Elevated Train stations, Cleveland river scenes, and farmlands belong to numerous corporate and private collections.
His work has appeared in and on the cover of Artist's Magazine. Nevin was a featured artist in The Acrylic Painter's Book of Style and Technique published by Northlight Press in 1997.
Born in Dayton, Ohio August 4, 1941, Nevin graduated from Cleveland Institute of Art and studied in San Francisco with Richard Diebenkorn. He is a signature member of the American Watercolor Association and the American Academy of Equine Art. Submitted by Katherine Millett
