| Born near Naples, Italy on June 16, 1901. Napolitano immigrated with his family to Los Angeles in 1912. Between 1920-25 he worked as a machinist-toolmaker while studying at the Otis Art Institute under Julia Wendt and F. Tolles Chamberlin. After a course in ceramics at Alfred University, in 1930 he returned to Europe to study at the Berlin Academy of Fine Art and Kunstgewerbe Schule in Munich. Returning to Los Angeles, he was apprenticed to muralist Herman Sachs while on the Public Works of (showing 500 of 1266 characters). |
