| | Born in Niles, CA on July 1, 1909. Nyeland was artistically inclined at an early age and remained a self-taught artist. During the 1930s he opened a commercial art company in San Francisco with Clyde Seavey and Louis Shawl. In his leisure he painted a variety of subjects in all media. He died in Burlingame, CA on Jan. 6, 2005.
