This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Ron Nagle was born in San Francisco, CA in 1939.  Nagle graduated from San Francisco State College.  Between 1961 and 1978 he taught at San Francisco Art Institute, UC Berkeley, and California College of Arts and Crafts before becoming a professor at Mills College in Oakland.  His small sculptures (often cups) are colorful, ironic, and layered with texture and detail. He currently lives in San Francisco.
