| Born in Rome, Italy to American expatriate artists Richard Couper and Mildred Couper, Rosalind Couper Nordli became a landscape painter, jewelry maker, sculptor and dancer. Her father was Richard Hamilton Couper, a painter and etcher, and her mother, Mildred Cooper, was a musician. When Rosalind was born, her family was living at Villa Ball, the home and studio of her great-grandfather, sculptor Thomas Ball, (1819-1911). Her grandfather was sculptor William Couper, (1853-1942) who was also livin (showing 500 of 1962 characters). |
