| A portraitist and etcher, she was active in San Antonio in the early 20th century, and one of her subjects was Ethel Tunstall Drought, a president of the San Antonio Art League.
Niles was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and in New York City was a student of Frank DuMond at the Art Students League. She also studied with Joseph Pennell, Andre L'Hote, and Edouard Leon.
She was a member of the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors, the National Arts Club, and the Southern States Art League. |
