| Born in Washington D.C., she became a painter, sculptor, and illustrator. She studied at the Denver School of Art and in New York with George Bellows, Frank DuMond, and William Merritt Chase. She became an illustrator of national magazines and exhibited at the National Academy of Design and the Baltimore Watercolor Society.
In New York, she was a member of the American Watercolor Society and the National Association of Women Artists. Her work is in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. |
