| Albert S. Olson was born in Chicago, IL on Sept. 1, 1870. Olson studied at the Chicago Institute of Art and had a studio in his home town where he worked mainly as a magazine and newspaper illustrator. To escape the harsh winters, he moved to Los Angeles in 1914. He died of tuberculosis in Patton, CA on November 19, 1917.
