| | Born in Burlington, IA on Nov. 28, 1891. Otto studied at Columbia University and was active as an architect in NYC prior to WWI. After the War he remained in France to study at Académie Julian. He moved to California in 1921 and earned his M.A. degree at Stanford University. After settling on the Monterey Peninsula, he remained there until his demise on Nov. 9, 1980.
