| | Born in Massachusetts on May 12, 1870. Edith Shearn moved to Los Angeles in 1910 and opened a studio in Hollywood in 1922. She married actor Warner Oland who is best remembered for his portrayal of Charlie Chan in the movies. Mrs. Oland remained in Hollywood until her death on May 14, 1968. | Source:
