From an article entitled "Found art exhibit opens at St. Augustine Art Association" by Carol Elliot. St.Augustine Compass, Friday, February 16, 2007:
Edith Walker Oliver was an intriguing lesser known artist who created realistic etchings of local scenes. She was a member of the Arts Club in 1933 and 1934, where she also exhibited her work. She and her mother continued to spend their summers in her native Chicago but in 1935 Walker took up permanent residence in St. Augustine (showing 500 of 1548 characters). |
