| | Born in Nashville, TN on Feb. 8, 1876. "Emily" Miller was educated in Nashville and, after studying medicine, became a nurse. She was was the wife of Samuel Longworth before moving to Los Angeles in 1904. In 1914 she married Frank Oswald, a local bean grower. Mrs. Oswald was active in Los Angeles until her death on Dec. 21, 1944.
