| | Born in Germany on Dec. 2, 1843. Otto immigrated to San Francisco in 1877. In 1890 he supervised a crew of 36 decorators during the building of the Barton Opera House in Fresno. As well as a photographer, he painted scenes of the Golden Gate, Cliff House, and other local spots.
