A native of Junction City Kansas, he has created illustrations and paintings which reflect early 20th century Cubism and Surrealist collage techniques, but for subject matter, he goes back even further. At a special exhibition of his work at Reece Gallery in New York City, fall 1998, his large-scale collages with oil stains depicted figures from the Italian Renaissance era as well as disembodied modernist figures.
He was educated at the American Academy and the Art Institute of Chic (showing 500 of 1859 characters). |
