This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Little is known about this artist except that he did drawings of Alaskan scenes while on board the steamship "Dora" at the turn of the 19th century. Thirteen of his small pencil drawings are in the Anchorage Museum, and they include depictions of Sitka, Cape Nome, seascapes, many other villages, and fish-processing factories. Many of them have identifying inscriptions.
