Education: B.A. Applied Arts, University of California, Los Angeles; M.F.A. Design, Otis Art Institute.
 
Ginger Osgood specialized in paintings, collages, watercolors, collagraphs, and serigraphs shown widely in galleries and accepted in 400 juried shows nationwide. She won top awards in competition in numerous national contests, including the Women Painters of the West.
 
A California modernist, her work is represented in print collections in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Chicago Institute of Art, the Library of Congress, the Los Angeles Museum of Art, and museums in Philadelphia, Boston and Denver.
 
She took on numerous public and private art commissions in the Thousand Oaks area of California, including a cast-stone monument in Westlake Village, welded iron gates for Northgate Townhouses, a sculptural mosaic fountain for Fairgreen Townhouses, and 15 stoneware symbols of the "Way of the Cross" for St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Thousand Oaks.
 
She served as exhibition director and president of the Western Serigraph Institute, as Arts Commissioner for the Ventura County Arts Council, and as exhibit director for the Conejo Valley Art Museum.
 
She was married to artist R. Freeman Worthley.

Ginger Osgood.

The influence of this Mid-Century California Modernists has been wide spread for inspiration in creating new art forms. Her love of nature, the human spirit, and the dynamic tension of form and color animated her work.

Ginger Osgood had tremendous vision and worked in a wide range of mediums including serigraphs, collagraphs, etchings, watercolor, acrylics and oil, with all serigraphs, collagraphs and etchings hand done by her.  Each piece is unique in its conception and tells a story.

Her artwork is in the permanent collections of museums, corporations and private collectors throughout the world, including the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Philadelphia Museum, Boston Museum, Cleveland, St. Louis and Denver Museums, Irving Trust Company office in New Zealand, the Japan Bank, the New York Public Library and the Library of Congress among numerous others.

A significant amount of her artwork has remained in a private collection until now. Linda Anderson and Gayle Drees, the daughter and granddaughter of the artists, and executors of the estate are making a small grouping of works available for private placement, for the first time in over 25 years.
