| | Born in Hemet, CA on Dec. 3, 1894. Hester Tripp graduated from medical school in Los Angeles in 1919. She then began a medical practice in Santa Ana and was soon married. For forty years she delivered babies at Santa Ana Hospital. Early in life she painted landscapes and floral still lifes. Exh: Santa Ana Artists, 1959 (1st prize); Bowers Museum, 1960 (solo). She died in Santa Ana on Jan. 28, 1986. | Source:
