Karen Offutt paints figurative works that capture a sense of scene with loose brushwork and an expressionistic style.
Karen Offutt began her career painting children's furniture for a company that sold to upscale stores such as Neiman Marcus. After living in Paris with her husband she returned to Austin determined to start a career in fine art.
She began studying the basics of painting all over again first with Elizabeth Locke at Austin Fine Art and later with Ron Hicks and Kim En (showing 500 of 2718 characters). |
