Lois McDonald Obert Cuthbertson was born in Truckee, California on August 26, 1903. A painter of landscapes, still life works, and portraits, she moved to Berkeley, California as a child. During the 1920's she studied at Mills College and the University of California. At the onset of the Great Depression, she abandoned art and married Charles Obert in 1933. She was inactive as an artist until 1946. Upon returning to painting she exhibited her works and won several awards at important exh (showing 500 of 1114 characters). |
