| A creator of large scale public sculpture, Marvin Oliver, living in
Seattle, Washington, works primarily in cast glass with the thought of
extending its "realm of possibilites". He says: "I'm an
unusual artist. I'm very technical. I'm a high risk
individual. That's why the big pieces get done. The risky
part is that it might not work. If I'm going to put a 7-ton whale
up there, then I have to know what I'm doing---and I don't. So
